Catch that baby!

I can't believe no one told me how fast babies can move even before they start crawling.  Jordan and Kristian are scooting and dragging themselves around so much the poor kids should be wearing knee and elbow pads.  This has created a new game in our household....catch that baby!

Friends and family would often watch as first Jordan and weeks later Kristian learned to push up on their hands and elbows..then they learned to get into the crawling position...and I've heard over and over again "I can't wait for them to start crawling" in my head I often thought, I can wait!  After all I knew I'd be chasing two babies who undoubtedly would be headed in opposite directions probably for something we'd like for them to stay away from.   So far they're only rocking back and forth on all fours and lunge themselves forward with any attempt to crawl, but boy can they scoot.  Jordan can be across the room in the time it takes you to reach for a diaper.  Kristian is a little slower ( at aboout 3 pounds more than Jordan he has more weight to move around ) but don't underestimate him.  If he sees something he wants, like a remote, cell phone, or piece of paper on the floor, he can dart for it too.

So we are babyproofing BIG TIME this weekend.  We already had to lower the crib mattresses because Jordan debuted his new trick the other day.  He can pull himself up to a standing position in his crib.  I keep waiting for him to be there waiting for us at our bedroom door one morning.  We're now playing that game all parents play...anticipate their next move...protect them from potential danger...and by all means CATCH THAT BABY!!!!!

kristi your boys are precious but I don't envy you. what a handful just one can be, I can't imagine chasing two all day. You must have energy like Wonder woman..........Please keep the updates coming everyone loves to know how your family is doing.

One comment, who chooses your wardrobe on air, you are such a pretty lady but always wearing dark colors. You need color to show off your features. the dark colors drag you down, please perk it up even if you don't feel too perky these days....best of luck elaine

I love to hear about your boys! I cant imagine what it is like to have TWO about to start crawling.........and lets not even think about walking! They are adorable and I am sure you and yours are so very proud of them. So, where is Tom in the mornings? I only get to watch Good Morning Ky for about 30 minutes each day so I didnt ever hear why he isnt there right now. I hear you say "we look forward to his return soon" but I dont know what happened. Can you elaborate on that? He is such an asset to the team and I miss his sence of humor. Take care and God Bless!

Kristie .... How wonderful it was to see you at the parade enjoying the fourth with your two beautiful boys. I have to say I was unknowingly sitting by your beautiful mother, who made it known to me when you turned the corner with her grandbabies ("she exclaims with joy those are my grandbabies"). She is very proud of them and you! I told her I am late to work everyday because I watch you (Mary & Tom) who keep me in laughing and running back to the TV for more! And your moms replies with "I get up every morning to see what she is wearing & to see if she is okay" ... I thought that was so cute! Anyway I just wanted to let you know it was nice to see you and your babies out enjoying the day.

I know that it has all been great with the babies so far. With that said, now is when the real fun starts. Cherish every moment with your beautiful boys and thank you for sharing them with all of us.
