Mother Suing Condo Over Drowning
Saturday, 23 August 2008 19:15
The mother of a 14-year-old girl who died after getting trapped at the bottom of a pool is suing the owner of the
condominium complex.
Lisa Ann Scott filed a lawsuit in Fayette Circuit Court against the owners of Aintree Condominiums.
Scott's daughter Kiah Milsom and some of her friends jumped  a fence and went for a swim in the pool.
Her arm got stuck in a drain, trapping her underwater for almost 20 minutes.
She died at UK hospital several days later.
The lawsuit alleges the owners of the condominium complex should have known the drainage pump was dangerous.

Sorry, but they shouldn't have jumped the fence. There are no grounds for a lawsuit here.

They may have should known it was dangerous. But, even with that most property is posted NO trespassing and these children was there illigally. They jumped a fence to get in for heavens sake! The children were definately NOT suppose to be there. Accidents happen and this lady seems to be trying to get RICH off her daughters death. You should let this go as an accident. How do you see that the condomium owners are at fault. They did not invite! Did not hold her down! and Did not make her go swimming in that pool! Really didn't even give her permission to go swimming! You may get lucky lady to get a jury to see things your way but you would not be so lucky to have people fair minded as myself to be on there as you surely would LOOSE your lawsuite as far a monetary gain would go!

I agree they should have knew the pool was dangerous however jumping a fence and swimming while the pool was closed is not safe period
