Wednesday, 23 July 2008 17:53
Four Fayette County jail employees and one former employee will be tried on federal charges early next year.
A federal grand jury indicted John McQueen, Clarence McCoy, Scott Tyree, Anthony Estep and Kristine Lafoe in June.
They're accused of abusing inmates at the Fayette County jail, then covering up the abuse.
Wednesday, a judge scheduled their trial for January 26th.
Federal authorities say an investigation into wrongdoing at the jail is still ongoing.
