Thursday, 24 July 2008 11:33

Richmond police they're investigating the death of an elderly woman as a murder.

Officers were called to Teakwood Drive around 1:30 Monday morning.

There they found 78-year-old Joann Tribble, unconscious but breathing after what was suspected to be a fall.
She was taken to UK Chandler Hospital with a serious head injury.

She died later Monday morning.

Tuesday, the State Medical Examiner determined Tribble's injuries weren't from a fall, but rather from being hit in the head.

Richmond detectives are now working on the case.
