Closure On West Main Begins Today

Prepare for more traffic headaches today, as another major road closure is set to begin.

You will want to avoid West Main Street near Newtown Pike, as construction continues on the Newtown Pike extension project.

It is not scheduled to reopen until Thursday, October 15. During that time inbound Newtown Pike traffic will be diverted onto Cox Street. Inbound West Main Street traffic will diverted onto South Forbes, to Manchester; to Jefferson; then back on to Main.

This comes as South Limestone Street remains closed from downtown to the UK campus for a massive overhaul project.
