Agree with tax reform ideas
Leland is on the right track on tax reform! Wish Frankfort would listen. We need Washington to listen also, a federal tax on items bought is the way to go.

Christmas Tree
Leland, if you are going to comment about something, please get the FACTS straight. The tree you are talking about is NOT the White House Christmas Tree. The tree in question is the Capitol Christmas Tree in front of the Capitol Building. The U.S. Forest Service is the presiding agency which chooses the state to make the ornaments - NOT the White House. While there was a mix-up and the old policy (during the Bush era!) requested non-religious ornaments, it was corrected and the only requiements for the ornaments now are that they be weatherproof and of a certain size. This can be verified on the Snope's website: http://www.snopes.com/politics/christmas/ornaments.asp
We, as a nation, should be finding ways to come together, not to be divisive. Shame on you for spreading rumors without checking what the facts are! 2009-Dec-09 18:42
Leland Conway
I have been listening to Leland for a few years and find myself agreeing with him on everything!! He has even changed my mind about a few things because he is right!!! How can anyone honestly disagree with him? I wish our elected officials shared his views!! He is a fine man with brilliant ideas and we are so fortunate to have him here in Lexington. He has educated so many!! He is definitely going places!!!

Sinking to new lows TVQ. Leland is nothing but an agitator who scans the news for issues that will aggravate his listener base, then he makes up his pitiful shows and opinions. He is without any substance and understands nothing. He frequently calls out for the education of the liberals through debate but where can you find his neck stuck out for real people to destroy his straw man childish ideas.
The democratic party should pay him some money for all the people he alienates with his ignorance and dogma. 2009-Nov-24 09:26
Clueless
This guy is totally clueless about the reason for expanded gambling. Anyone in the horse business, especially the smaller barns, knows we desperately need slots in order to keep racing in Kentucky. Period. Unfortunately, this has been made into a political issue of Republicans against Democrats, rather than saving our major industry.
Wake up, Kentucky. |
