the grocery clerk asking for a card and then scaning one for you was a nice gesture. many times have i been in a piggly wiggley or harris tweeter while on vacation and have a fellow customer or a clerk scan their card so i could get the discounts offered. mr conway sometimes you are so full of it ! it seems you just love to rant....so sad.

Leland is on the right track on tax reform! Wish Frankfort would listen. We need Washington to listen also, a federal tax on items bought is the way to go.

Leland, if you are going to comment about something, please get the FACTS straight. The tree you are talking about is NOT the White House Christmas Tree. The tree in question is the Capitol Christmas Tree in front of the Capitol Building. The U.S. Forest Service is the presiding agency which chooses the state to make the ornaments - NOT the White House. While there was a mix-up and the old policy (during the Bush era!) requested non-religious ornaments, it was corrected and the only requiements for the ornaments now are that they be weatherproof and of a certain size. I have been listening to Leland for a few years and find myself agreeing with him on everything!! He has even changed my mind about a few things because he is right!!! How can anyone honestly disagree with him? I wish our elected officials shared his views!! He is a fine man with brilliant ideas and we are so fortunate to have him here in Lexington. He is without any substance and understands nothing.
