LEXINGTON, KY - During his teleconference on Sunday, UK head coach Rich Brooks said true freshman Randall Cobb could see more snaps at quarterback moving forward.

Brooks said Cobb tweaked his ankle against South Carolina Saturday - not the bad one, the good one - so that will factor into how much of an increased role Cobb sees behind center.

“We will just have to judge that as we go forward. He had a little conditioning problem and tweaked his good ankle but the bad ankle came out of the thing pretty well. We will have to see how he responds this week. We gave him a few snaps at quarterback and that could increase a little bit. We just need to find some way to move the football more consistently and put some points on the board,” Brooks said.

Offensive coordinator Joker Phillips also said Cobb would "probably" see more playing time at QB because it guarantees more touches for Cobb, which appears to be a necessity in the wake of the loss of Dicky Lyons Jr. for the immediate future.

Lyons suffered a torn MCL against South Carolina Saturday. He will have an MRI Monday to determine the extent of the damage and get a better estimate on a return date for Lyons. He's already been ruled out for next Saturday's game against Arkansas.

Brooks also reported that offensive linemen Justin Jeffries and Stuart Hines will not play against Arkansas.

DeMoreo Ford (sternum/clavicle), Michael Schwindel (shoulder), Kyrus Lanxter (shoulder) and Maurice Grinter (ankle) are questionable.
